- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Moved from Tulsa, so we decided to try a vet here for our large dog. We brought him in because he was developing a red rash looking spot on his lip. The Dr. said he had no idea what it was, wanted to schedule a biopsy the next week. We weren't sure this was the right thing to do, so we took him to our regular vet in Tulsa the next day. She immediately diagnosed the problem as folliculitis, and prescribed antibiotics. Four days later his infection is nearly healed. An infected hair follicle shouldn't require a biopsy to diagnose.
